The cost of fur restoration treatment depends on the size of the area being treated.
The price is ¥1,320 per square centimeter (1 cm × 1 cm).
You may choose to have only the areas you wish to restore treated, prioritize the most noticeable areas according to your budget, or decide not to have any fur restoration treatment this time and take Pikachu home as is.

1. Will fur restoration affect the fabric or its long-term durability?
Fur restoration involves inserting strands of yarn into Pikachu’s fabric, so it does put some stress on the fabric.
If durability is your top priority, we recommend not proceeding with fur restoration treatment.
2. Can you find yellow yarn that closely matches Pikachu’s current color?
As you mentioned, the materials are different, so it is difficult to achieve a perfect match in both color and texture.
For your reference, we will share a photo of yellow yarn that is close to Pikachu’s current color.
3. Is it possible to make the area below the nose look a little smaller and less triangular?
Rather than adding more fur, we believe we can adjust the shape to achieve a result closer to what you have in mind.
We will proceed with adjusting the area below the nose so that it looks a little smaller and the triangular shape is less noticeable. (^^)

I just had one little question before he comes home I was wondering if it might be possible to restore/add a little bit of fur in a few areas where he’s lost some over the years.
I completely understand that you’ve already finished all the repairs, so it might not be possible at this stage or it might involve some additional work/cost, I just thought I’d ask while he’s still with you!

I would be very happy to proceed with the full fur restoration treatment. Before confirming, however, I would like to ask a few questions, if you don’t mind:
• My main priority is Pikachu’s long-term preservation and keeping him in the best possible condition for as long as possible. Could the fur restoration treatment put any additional stress on the fabric or potentially affect its durability over time? I would prefer not to add any unnecessary stress to the original material, even if that means leaving some areas untreated.
• I completely understand that, due to Pikachu’s age and the fading of his original fur, it may be impossible to find yarn that matches the current colours exactly. For the yellow areas in particular, do you think it would be possible to find a reasonably similar shade? I would just like to understand how noticeable the difference between the original and newly restored fur might be.
• Finally, would it also be possible to add a very small amount of fur around the lower part of his nose? I was wondering whether this could make the lower part of the nose appear slightly smaller and a little less triangular. Of course, only if you think this can be done safely and would look natural.
If you feel that the full treatment can be carried out without compromising the long-term preservation, and that the above would be possible, I would be very happy to proceed with the complete treatment.

After considering your advice, I think I would prefer—if you also feel this is a suitable approach—to focus the repair only on the most visible bald areas. My hope is that this will allow us to improve Pikachu’s overall appearance while minimizing unnecessary stress on the original fabric and fur.

* Lower right cheek
* Left cheek
* Left side of the neck
* Area near the left hand attachment point
* Right thigh
* Left thigh
* Back of the head
* Around the pattern on the upper back
I would also like to include the small adjustment around the nose that we discussed.
Of course, I would be very grateful for your professional recommendation regarding these areas. If you feel that any of them would be particularly difficult to treat, could place unnecessary stress on the original material, or would not provide much visible improvement, I would be very happy to leave them untreated. Likewise, if there are other areas that you feel would be more worthwhile to prioritize, please feel free to recommend them.
If possible, I would like to keep the total treatment around ¥30,000. Within approximately this budget, I would be very happy to follow your recommendation on how best to prioritize the repairs.
My main priority is Pikachu’s long-term preservation, so I would prefer a slightly more limited repair if that is gentler on the original material.
